The Sheikh Najjar Industrial City in Aleppo today welcomed a Swedish delegation representing United Nations programs. The delegation included Ms. Petra Smitmanis-Dray, Ms. Ingrid Sandström, and Ms. Elisabeth Montgomery, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al-Jasser and Ms. Aline Lahdo from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Syria.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current situation in the industrial city, reviewing the most significant difficulties and challenges. They also discussed available opportunities and future development plans aimed at strengthening the investment environment and supporting the industrial sector.
The visit concluded with a field tour of one of the city's textile factories, where the delegation observed the production process and the available technical and human resources.
The industrial city's management expressed its gratitude to the delegation for its interest and efforts in supporting industrial development in Aleppo.
